After all, food is either the slowest poison or the slowest medicine. It costs roughly $1200/month to feed our pack the best quality food.

Many of our elderly pack members need life-saving medications (such as cardiac meds) or pain meds (for arthritis) or special eye drops (for painful glaucoma) to manage their quality of life. The cost of these medications range from $13/month to $75/month per medication. Some of our furry pals are on multiple medications.

Next to food, this is by far our biggest expense. One initial vet visit with bloodwork for a new pack member costs $400. One dental procedure can cost from $1500 to $2000. A cardiology workup costs between $900 to $1100. Unexpected emergencies can cost us thousands of dollars.
