In the past decade, I have found my purpose is helping with those who need me most - elderly and special needs pets. Some have had serious medical conditions. My profession is Chinese Medicine - I am an expert herbalist with nearly 30 years of training and clinical experience. This makes me particularly skilled at caring for my companions during this phase of their lives. It is my deepest honor and my greatest joy to be their caretaker. I was made for this.

I call her the OG Wee One because she is the one that started it all - she was the first little old dog I fell madly in love with. She is the original source of my continued love for and devotion to the frail, the elderly, and the ones with significant medical needs, who just want comfort and love in their final years. Without WMG, The Queen's Hound would never have happened.

Plush beds, warm blankies, stuffy toys, and loving companionship ensure our dogs' days are filled with comfort. We have access to incredible veterinarians, including elite specialists. We are 10 minutes from Colorado State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital in case of emergency. Our sanctuary is truly an oasis for senior and special needs dogs and cats.
No. All of our animals live here at the sanctuary permanently. We will care for them and love them for the rest of their lives.
No. At this time, we carefully chose dogs and cats in need of homes from our partner rescues and shelters. We can only care for a limited number of animals in our sanctuary and we need to ensure they are a good fit whenever we add a new member to our pack.
We adopt dogs and cats that have had a very hard time finding loving homes elsewhere. We take in senior dogs and cats or those with special needs, such as physical injuries, chronic medical conditions, or other factors that make finding a permanent home challenging for them, such as behavioral issues, being a bonded pair, or being a hospice case.
